Heathcliff's story is one of tragedy and perseverance. Cliff came to us after a terrible car accident claimed the life of his breeder/owner Anya Dobratz. Cliff and other dogs were in the truck when the accident occurred and mirarulously was relatively unscathed.
Anya was a very close and dear friend of mine. When she moved in with us in 2019 we often talked about new beginnings, losing her was heartbreaking. Anya was such an important part of all of our lives and keeping Heathcliff here with us part of her wishes. She had goals for this dog and we intend to make them a reality as best as we are able.
Heathcliff loves the jolly ball pretty much more than anything else in life. He is a proud confident dog who carries both physical and mental scars from the accident but has maintined his happy strong temperament.
